Based on the application, different material has its own advantages:Pyrex Glass is by far the most popular material for laser flow tubes. It blocks all UV Light below 300nm, so it makes an excellent and inexpensive filter for this reason. Although Pyrex blocks a lot of the UV wavelength, it does not have the added advantage that Cerium Doped Quartz has, of fluorescing in the visible range and creating higher pumping efficiency.Quartz Glass is more expensive than Pyrex. The advantage to using Quartz Glass is when you need the flow tube to transmit deep into the UV range. Quartz Glass will transmit UV down to about 200nm. You also can choose any quartz brands, we will purchase and produce, such as Corning 7980, or any other brands.Cerium-doped quartz glass can blocks all UV light below 400nm. It is used imported high purity quartz sand as raw material. Doped with a small amount of cerium to block ultraviolet, mainly absorbing all ultraviolet to maintain visible spectral range of light to reach the largest transmission efficiency. Used for solid-state laser pump xenon lamps, solid laser device filter and other laser source materials.Samarium Doped Glass blocks all UV light below 400nm, it also fluoresces in the visible range, causing a slight increase in pumping efficiency with some lasing mediums. Samarium Doped Glass also blocks the 1064nm wavelength. This is very important when pumping Nd: YAG lasers which operate at 1064nm, because the 1064nm wavelength coming from the lamp can interfere with the 1064nm wavelength created when pumping the Neodymium in the crystal.After the glass is machined to shape, it is ground and then polished to clear both inside and out. Finally it goes through a chemical curing process that strengthens the glass. Because Samarium is machined to size, it can be made in just about any size and shape you can imagine.We also can do metal reflective Coating on the glass surface. Coating material: silverThe silver mirror has a high reflectivity in the visible and near-infrared spectral range, and the silver layer coated with a protective film has a good cleanability and firmness. It is 18% at 300nm. At 500nm, the reflectivity is 90%Coating material: aluminumThe aluminum reflector mainly has a high reflectivity in ultraviolet, and the surface is not easy to scratch after being coated with a protective film. It is quite different from ordinary ultraviolet aluminum reflectors in anti-wiping, and the reflectivity in the ultraviolet region can reach 94% in a single wavelength.Coating material: goldThe gold-plated total reflection mirror has high reflectivity in the infrared spectrum and good chemical stability in the air. It can still maintain good reflectivity and spectral characteristics in harsh environments, and has a good film firmness. Quartz glass is fragile, and should be handled with care during handling and placement.2. Please store in the original packing box, at least should retain the original packaging materials. Do not remove the inner package until the tubing is used, because the moisture and dust can damage the purity and property of the quartz tube. Warehouse should be clean and dry.3. Quartz glass has extremely low thermal expansion. A rapid change in temperature when contacted, fixed or clamped with a material having a different coefficient of thermal expansion may cause the rupture to quartz glass.4. The quartz glass is easy to devitrify at high temperature if it is contaminated. For non-free cleaning quartz glass products that work in high temperature, they should be cleaned before use.5. For cleaning, Quartz glass should be firstly put into deionized water or distilled water with degreaser to scrub. After scrubbing, rinse the product quickly with deionized water. Then immerse the product in hydrofluoric acid with a concentration of 5-10% for soaking for 5 minutes or 5% ammonium fluoride for 10 minutes, then rinse with deionized water and quickly dry the product.6. It is easy to cause quartz glass to burst if it is used intermittently at high temperature. The quartz glass can be used for a long time without damage If the furnace temperature is kept above 500 ºC.7. Quartz glass is super-cooled liquid. It only has softening temperature range. The higher the temperature, the smaller the viscosity, it is easier to deform. If the quartz tube is used at a temperature of 1100 ºC or more for a long time, the furnace temperature can be increased to 1200 ºC before starting to use. Rotate the tube for 90°every two hours and repeat this for 20-30 hours. Then put it into work, this way can reduce the deformation.8. Hydrofluoric acid and hot phosphoric acid at 200 ºC will obviously corrode quartz glass.
